This friction folder is the real deal, made in Japan by Nagao Higonokami. It has a san mai white paper steel (Shirogami) blade with a razor sharp edge. The blade is fully concealed in the black coated stainless steel handle when closed, with the exception of the long, extended tang. The blade on the Higo 14 is thicker than the 12.
