This Tephra-AK model is outfitted with stunning 25,000 year old swamp Kauri wood scales and a “Dark Earth” acid stonewashed blade made from Bohler K110-D2 steel.
The Knappo Knives Tephra is a custom handmade knife from Chris Knapton of Auckland, New Zealand. New Zealand is a highly volcanic country and the Tephra takes inspiration from these flowing pyroclastic volcanic eruptions. The ancient kauri wood scales are native to New Zealand and come with a hand carved design. This folder offers a tough, heavy-duty build that remains streamlined enough for comfortable pocket carry. It has bronze anodized titanium liners, pivot, and pocket clip in an orange peel finish. The Persian style blade has a jimped tang opener and a flat grind for maximized cutting performance. A thunderstruck Kevlar backspacer finishes off the custom design.
